ChaCha Day 16 of AI-generated 30 day train trip through Europe

I am at the halfway point of my 30 day AI-generated train trip through Europe and I am beginning to experience a serious lag in energy, which is not typical for me. Traveling the world is a childhood dream that I am so grateful to myself, family and friends that I am now experiencing – and loving!! But let’s be real for a moment, I have been traveling for roughly 5 months, to around 20 countries, and I have honestly lost count of how many cities. I can say with certainty that AI-generated train trip travel fatigue is getting real, OMG very real.

ChaCha eating gelato in Italy

Please do not get me wrong, I couldn’t be happier about my decision to ditch conventional life and travel extensively. For now or forever… I’m not sure which, and reserve the right to change my mind about, possibly many times, or decide on a little of both. Ha!)

There are days that I feel like I can take on the world and see every museum, exhibit, restaurant, site… from dawn to dawn. Then there are other days, like today, that I wake up unexpectedly and unreasonably cranky (as we all do, right!?). There are times that I don’t want to tour in even the most amazing destinations or take pictures and notes to write about. And admittedly give myself a lot of grief about 🙄 but also strive to be kinder to me 😊

Oh, and let’s not forget that I’m 50 years old, not a 20-something backpacking my way around Europe on my parent’s dime – more power to all who are, have and will… had I had the opportunity then, I absolutely would have, and I encourage my now 20 year old son almost daily to do embrace travel. That said, I started my first company at age 23 and wouldn’t change that experience or time in my life, so there you are, everything happens as it’s meant to.

So where am I going with this rant? Maybe nowhere, not sure yet. Except maybe to say that life can be a challenge, even when we are living our dream. And that sometimes it is A-OK to sit in your hotel bed and write a rant about taking a break because the epic cafés in Europe are simply too fun (and loud) to concentrate, and, well, relax. But then again, there’s also always gelato 🤩🤩🤩

What's on your mind?

Packing can be stressful, especially when you’re going on a month-long trip. But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Check out my recommendations for the perfect packing list, so you can travel stress-free and in style!

What to Pack

1. Comfortable Walking Shoes: Most likely you’ll be walking a lot, so make sure you have comfortable shoes to keep your feet happy. I love sneakers, they go with everything from shorts to dresses – I buy one new pair every year, this year’s fave are Converse Chuck Taylor® All Star® Lift Low Top Leather Sneaker. ❤️

What to Bring

2. Universal Travel Adapter: Don’t let a dead phone or computer ruin your trip. Bring a universal travel adapter so you can stay connected.

Organize Your Luggage

3. Packing Cubes: These will make organizing your luggage a breeze.

Stay Comfortable

4. Lightweight Jacket: Even if you’re traveling to a warm destination, it’s always a good idea to pack a lightweight jacket for those unexpected chilly nights.

Be Prepared

5. First Aid Kit. Accidents happen, so pack a compact first-aid kit with essentials like adhesive bandages, pain relievers, and allergy medicine.
